    All good advice. You'll find macs a bit pricey just for what you're doing. Most folks are buying laptops these days. They're plenty powerful for business apps and portable. A win/win. I have a very high opinion of Dell's Inspiron series. Very well built and good support if you ever need it. One suggestion, upgrade the memory. (RAM) at least 8+ Gigabytes. 12 GB if you can swing it.

      I was actually just looking at doing this with the existing one I have and dumping my business info onto it...
      My hp just shut down again with the no hard drive notification. .luckily I just backed everything up

          This is the way to go if you're going to take it away from the house. Otherwise, get the desktop and store stuff on an external drive.
