    Sabine Lake

How long before Sabine will be good to go again? Me and a buddy are supposed to take our wives out over the 4th. I had been on a pretty good redfish and flounder bite in the marsh before Cindy hit. Curious as to any recent reports

Don't know about Sabine, but they're already hammering reds in big lake again!

We got more rain this weekend than we did mid-week from Cindy. I had about 5 inches between yesterday and today and my buddy across town got 8 inches. I barely showed 2 from Cindy.

The forecast is for rain every day this week.

I would fish the south end or down towards the jetties if I just had to get my fix on. I will be heading to the ranch next weekend myself to try for an axis fix.

Had a buddy go out Saturday in the lake and they caught two reds and 6 dink trout. As long as it doesn't rain big time, the salinity of the lake will be good and the fishing should be turning back on especially by the 4th.

A little bit more Fresh after the rain we got this morning!
Redfish boats were piled up under the Bridge at Ancelets waiting on it to pass. I guess maybe there was supposed to be a tournament today.

I'm working in Port Arthur and we have gotten about 2 inches of rain this morning and its still raining. I would stay on the Louisiana side of the lake fishing bayou points. Remember not to go inside the tips of land, stay in the lake. You need a Louisiana fishing licenses to go inside the points of land where the bayou enters the lake. I would use top water early in the morning and switch to mud minnows later in the morning. Always look for bait working along the shoreline.
