    Sig 1911s?

How do sig owners like their full size 1911? I imagine they are great but i wanted some feedback before purchasing. I do have the sig p938 extreme and i love it. Good quality and very accurate. I'm wanting to get a sig 1911 full size in 45 and figured i reach out to get some input from you guys.

It's a decent 1911, but I personally do not care for the external extractor vs the original Browning design.

Look at STI, Springfield Armory & Dan Wesson for other options.

Not a fan and agree with what's Artos already pointed out. Much better 1911's out there. I'm a Sig fan, just not their 1911 line.

I have the Extreme 1911 and its my favorite gun. Its also my first 1911 so i have nothing to compare it to. I will say its faster back on target, easier trigger and smoother to shoot than any of my polymer guns.....Glocks, Springfields. Thats all i have to compare, so im afraid im not much help.

the external vs internal extractor is really a non issue, both work, both have been working for a really long time..... if your looking for a reason to like or dislike any brand,, look for something that actually might make a difference.. the sig is a really good gun,,
trigger, sights, even grip panels make a much bigger difference , bushing or non bushing....solid feed ramp or traditional, ,,, the extractor works either way,, and you might actually even have to improve the cut and tension on an internal extractor,,,,
lowered and opened ejection port and a long or short ejector,,, those can make a real difference,,, the extractor,,, if it works it works.....

I like any gun made by Sig. I've become a big fan over the last several years. I plan on selling my Kimber 1911 and buying a Sig.

This. I've owned 2 Sig 1911s (still a have one) and they run better than the Kimber 1911s I've owned.

The external extractor has been a non issue.

1911 Sig C3 45 auto and it's a better gun than the Kimber 1911 45 auto I had. Kimber had a better trigger but the Sig makes up for it in accuracy which IMO is the #1 thing that counts. All other functions are comparable.

Like others have said external extractor is an issue one should not worry about. They are quality guns a lot better quality than other 1911s aka Kimbers that cost twice as much. Their triggers are not bad from the factory and sights are normallt prettt good pending models. I have never seen any issues on any that i have worked on over the years.
