    scorpion infestation

This month we have seen an unusual amount of scorpions coming in the house. I got hit by a monster size scorpion on the hand at 4 am the other night. It was under my pillow and it had a bunch of babies. Killed a couple in the bathroom, and another by the door. This morning, my 2 YO son walked up to my wife holding one in his hand..... alive We don't know how he didn't get stung, but it was very much alive.
I have been treating the yard and house but they still seem to find ways to get in without getting poisoned.

Normally, i spread out a whole box of mothballs under the house, treat the yard with granules, spray the outside with Ortho Bug B Gone around windows, front door, eaves, and any other cracks on the outside of the home. the Ortho is also safe to use indoors so i spray it around baseboards, under and around tables/bed/nightstands etc.
Them bastages still get in. We keep the house pretty clean and free of spills/crumbs/open food/ that attracts other bugs that scorpions eat.

What else can i do that is safe for my little one and pets? Any specific products yall use to prevent these buggers from invadimg my house?

Besides all the poison inside and out, I use glue traps. I put them in the corners right next to the wall. I put a few in each room.

Demon XP is what I use & seems to work. It's safe to use inside & outside.

Spray Demon around the outside. Also put out diatomaceous earth. Heavy rain will wash it away but it's so cheap just put more out. I've had good luck with that.

Glue-boards for mice/rats along base boards, behind dressers etc... they catch/kill a bunch.

Spray some Demon around the outside of the house. Seems to work for me. I don't see any for months after that. Get it at the feedstore. I've never seen it at Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

Permethrin...get it on Amazon, they have the 35% bottle that you mix up yourself and treat your yard...this stuff is suppose to kill every thing (bugs that is). We use it for the deerlease

I have some of the Demon already. What rate do you spray, just the base and eaves, or all around the walls outside?

We've had great success with this up at the old family farm in East Tx. We had them really bad but hardly ever see one now.

The Demon WP has worked for us. I spray around the base, eaves and windows/door openings outside...pretty much any access point. I also spray around the baseboards, window sills and just for good measure the floor around my bed inside the house. It's supposed to be safe for indoors, although I'd probably research that more if I had a 2 year old.

I tried to kill one by stepping on it last week while wearing flip-flops and happened to catch him at just the perfect angle for his stinger to wrap around and tag me on the tip of my toe!

                            Had the same problem once.
Bought 2 gallons of Home Defense from Lowe's or Home Depot.
Sprayed my attic from top to bottom.
                            Never saw another again.
