Dog advice needed- any way to break a fence jumper?

We have an almost year old pup that maybe Lab & terrier mix that came from a litter the neighborhood tramp dropped.

So far one of the best dogs we've had-

EXCEPT for the fact that she has figured out how to jump the fence.

She was accidentally shown how to jump a fence from some neighbor boys retrieving a ball and now climbs over our 6' wood "privacy" fence anytime she is bored and alone.

If we are home- not a problem because she is always near us, once we gone- she gone. So far we have resorted to locking her inside when we leave.

Growing up this was handled with a rope and a tree or a rope and a concrete block. We are not going that route.

So aside from keeping her inside when gone, how do I teach her this is not OK?

Here are a few pics to get a size reference-

    That's a size 11.5-12 foot [emoji51]

Hot wire on top or a e collar.

Hot wire. All it takes is one time. You won't be able to throw that dog over the fence after that.

Yep. And mark it every few feet with a stake flag. My dogs won't go near anything that has a stake flag near it now.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but a hot wire will solve your problem.

Looks to be about the size of my gsp. If they are anything alike nothing but a solid *** beating works.

I think a low impedance hot wire designed for small animals will stop her. Run it about 6" out from the top of the fence. You can go on top of the fence or out 90 degrees from the fence at the top. The pet hot wire kit is pretty cheap. Look on Amazon.

Electric fence. One of those big solar powered ones designed for 10 miles of cattle fence. Bet the dog won't try it more than once...
