    Which fixed blade broadhead?

Should I switch to? I have been using three blade Muzzys for years, but I want something that leaves a better blood trail. I have to think that there are some better options out there these days. Any suggestions? I am on a budget also.

    Thanks.

I use the Crimson Talon Hyperspeeds and in my opinion they shoot very true and cut a pretty sweet hole! This is a doe i shot last weekend with them.

      Slick Trick's

(you don't have to worry about blood trails when you can see them fall)

That's hard for me to say as I've been shooting Muzzy three blades for quite a few years now after shooting several different BH's over the years previously. I've had good blood trails and bad blood trails from all of the different ones I've shot. You might play around with some others, and let us know what your opinions are about the differences. Is that your only complaint about them?

The key to a good blood trail is a sharp broadhead.....not just a sharp broadhead but a really sharp broadhead...I have seen good trails and bad trails from many broadheads, (expandables, fixed, 3 blade, 4 blade...etc) but if you place one behind the shoulder through both lungs with a really sharp head you will find the anmal everytime....I can't tell you how many times I've heard hunters say it's sharp enough and go hunting....it's never sharp enough. A broadhead will dull enough to require sharpening just by being in the quiver....

from when I hunted with compounds in the 70s & early 80s- all I used were 125grn 2-bladed Zwickey Eskimos.
a few years back I bought and tried the G5 Montecs. They're an alright BH...
But if I was buying new 3-bladed BHs today they would be Wensel Woodmen, mainly because of the 3:1 length ratio

and since I shoot a recurve, and it's all about penetration, I still really like my Eskimos (had the same dozen since 1974 (8-left

Slick Tricks. When sharp, they leave a blood trail that Ray Charles could follow

Thanks. Does Academy or Bass Pro carry Slick Tricks? I just called Sportsman's Warehouse here in San Antonio and they are out.
