16 year old jogger killed by black bear South of Anchorage and three people hurt by Brown bear with cubs in Eagle River campground.
People just don't realize how dangerous they are.

OP, I'm not just picking on you because I've seen other people post similar comments. IMO for you to post these two incidents and follow it up with "People just don't realize how dangerous they are" is a slap In the face to those who lost their lives. Do you know for a fact these people where doing something stupid like trying to pet the bears? Come on. People know bears are dangerous and deadly. There's almost nothing worse than a brown bear with cubs. I didn't say anything when this was first posted, but seeing it again still gave me the same reaction. They didn't die because they didn't realize bears are dangerous.
