Lake Somerville - Fishing report

That lake is shallow and muddy !!! I went there back in April caught some decent fish and lost two dang giants blacks of course and Of course they were right on the bank in stickups then !

Yeah!! Shallow,muddy and no fish! It's the east texas of lakes.

I only named off most every spot on the east side of the lake.

Plenty more to go around[emoji2]

Does the water still boil up by the dam . We use to chunk slabs and spec rigs and catch whites on every cast.

Used to do that with Little Georges. I was there yesterday and never even checked. I mainly just tooled around looking at the lake. Haven't been there in so many years.

Good to meet you Russ. Followed your advice after a driving around for a while, and put 9 in the boat and had another 4 chunk my trap.

What time of the day were the white chasing the shad to the surface over by the dam? I do not remember. It's been too long ago.
