    Fish I.D.???

    Buddy caught a few of these when we where fishing the other day. I've never seen one before.

            Warmouth. Tasty as a crappie. We used to call em Calico bass when I was a kid.
            Caught a many of those on yeller grasshoppers and fried them up whole. Love them tasty crunchy tails.

              This fish is quickly catching up to the rat snake as most I.D.'ed on TBH.

                  I guess goggled eye is just another name for a warmouth. To be honest, I had never heard them called a warmouth until TBH. From what I read, that is the actual name but this fish has many aliases. I learned something new. I know we would catch the fire out of them when we were kids on Menard and Mill Creek. Like stated in other posts.. those suckers are tasty.

                    Same here. Never heard warmouth until here. Always knew them as goggle eye

                      Daddy used to call them goggle eye, so that is what they are. Miss fishing with him more than just about anything.
