My luck ran out!

My truck was broken into yesterday at a home improvement store. The thieves made off with my .270 & my back pack. It had all my gear in it: Both releases, knives, binocs, range finder, lights, camera, scent spray, face masks, gloves, etc...

The store manager said "It happens all the time". I said "If it happens all the time, why don't you run off the 150 non-English speaking migrant workers that loiter in your parking lot?" He said "It isn't them that's breaking into vehicles". OK????? I ended the conversation on that note. It kinda pizzed me off!

Anyway. Don't leave your gear in the truck! I learned the hard way.

that bites.........I really hate a thief.......but you would think at some point the store would be responisble for this kind of thing since they know it happens on a regular basis in their parking lot that their customers use........I really hate a thief and I hope I never catch one breaking into my truck or home, because I will go directly to jail........

My shop was broke into this past Monday,I went down to P.D to fill out report,they ask if I had a description of perps. I told the lady if I knew what they looked like regardless of their ages they would be hanging on back fence like a yote shot in pasture!

Thanks Kelly. I'm stopping at Bass Pro on my way to G.West in a few minutes. Only really need a release and a range finder to get me through the weekend.

Its the Christmas season.... The thieves are out in force. Take everything inside, leave nothing in your car, lock up everything (shop, house, toolbox, car) Shoot to kill. I don't know if there are real statistics to back me up but I swear I hear and have been hit more times between thanksgiving and new years than any other time. Could also be that it is dark longer. I hate a thief and only hope that who ever did this will overdose on the crack he purchased and die a miserable painful death as rodents feast on his remains. Oh that was a little dark.... I hate a thief.

Ask the manager who it is since he seems to know??!! At least he acts like it is not who you mentioned. Sorry to hear about your situation.

Sorry to hear that Matthew. What a horrible feeling! I think about this everytime I park my truck in front of Academy or the grocery store. I get out and stand by my truck for at least a minute looking around for anyone that looks suspicious. If I see someone that looks suspicious, I stare at them and walk towards them and give them a bad look before heading into the store. It probably doesn't work but it makes me feel better.

dang sorry to hear that, mine get nailed about 2-3months ago, and the hunting packs r the worst bc all the stuff that was in there and u wont remember half of what is was.
