    Canyon Lake Activities?

Me, my wife and 14 month old daughter are here for the weekend. What are some good family activities that we could do? Also, what are some good local eats?

Not much a 1 year old can do. I'd sit around and feed the deer. They love bread. That's what I give em when we spend the weekend there

Don't know, but they just confirmed zebra mussels there so if you took a boat, be sure to clean it up and drain it before you take it home.

Yeah, heading to the Grismill in a few to have dinner tonight. We always go eat dinner when we come up here... can't wait

I wanted to bring it, but I didn't though because I didn't want to risk any issues with them being with me and being stranded on the side of I-10 with a 1 year old in 100 degree weather. Would have loved to bring it and doing some fishing/sightseeing....

really not a whole lot to do around Canyon Lake except go to the lake. You could drive up to Wimberley and walk around the square. Inoz on the square is a good place to eat.

And Starks Café is a pretty good place to eat as well and is near the lake.

Any public access beaches or swim areas we could possibly go to?

You should be able to go to Cranes Mill Park for the day. They have a swimming area. It is on the North side by the Dam.

It is a great place for breakfast and it's up off 306 north of the lake in Canyon Lake, Tx.
