    Window A/C Help

Last summer I put a window unit in my bedroom because the wife and I like it colder to sleep and last summer it did fine. So far this year though, every few days it gets condonseion on all the vents and spits water out of them. I've made sure the drain is not clogged. Last few times it's been so much we've had to turn it off. Is there anything else I can do or check?

You might try switching the lever to open or close the vent to outside to recirculate outside air in to see if that helps any assuming it even has one?
I've never had any of mine do that tho. Is the unit sloping downward to the outside so water does not get blown back inside the house via the vents?

Take it out and remove the cover. Spray the coils real good with coil cleaner. Use water hose to rinse fins and any other debris. That's about all you can do with the small units.

We did this exact same thing. We turn the big air off at night and my wife blasts that AC in the bedroom with a window unit. Its so cold my labs get cold. If we leave it on run, it tends to freeze up and make the room warm and humid. It has an auto setting which lets it turn off and on. That works and the room stays arctic cold all night.

Ours has the auto setting where is comes on and off too. Guess I'll start and see it the slope needs increasing for starters.
