    Processors in Roosevelt or Junction

Which one is the best? I used Kimble once a few years ago. My only complaint was the hamburger. They threw all the trimmings in there, silver skin and all. It was dang near inedible due to all the sinew. I don't know if that was normal for them or not. I've not used them again to find out. Everything else they did was great.

Somebody told me there is one in Roosevelt, but I've not noticed a sign.

      Shane,

Granted we sold our place 4 years ago. We would go to our place for 2 weeks at a time so if we did not want to run back to our processor in Helotes, we would drop them off in Junction.

Used the Place that has the Antler Tree in the front and they were ok. Not what we are used to but it was just ok.

The place on the right right when you go into town, we were very disappointed with them. Packaging was bad, the meat tasted foul. We threw more away than we saved.

We finally just kept them in cold storage in Roosevelt til we could make it back to our processor. The brothers treated us right and I think we stored 8 axis there at once for a week.

We use Kimble county.... We have had decent luck with basic processing over the years... They changed owners this past season and went up on prices I have had a couple whitetail and axis done since...Burger is decent and steaks cut the way I want them.. I was always told its hard to get good workers to stick around and learn the trade well there in junction due to it being semi-seasonal and low pay... I will keep using them until I have a reason not too... New Owner is a Younger guy named Braden... Give them a shot... As for Junction Processing I have never used them

What did Kimble charge you recently?

it is 80 dollars for basic processing... They vacuum seal all packages so that's a plus...
