      I think that is a matter of debate for sure.....most blends are for the export market....

                My sentiments exactly ! They say Scotch is an "aquired" taste, my question was always " Why would you want to train yourself to like something?"

                That said, I had a good friend who only drank Dewers. I believe there is still some in my stash, but he was killed by lightning on Lake Fork years ago.......
