Question for those of you who smoke cigarettes while driving

Do you throw your cigs out on the roads? I know cars and trucks don't come with ash trays anymore so what do y'all do with them? At least once a day I see someone throw a cigarette out the window of their vehicle. I assume that's still against the law, but if it is I've never seen it enforced. Do some of y'all keep some type of ash tray in your vehicle? Is it just acceptable now days to throw them out?

It is littering and it seems to me most smokers throw them out the window and don't give to craps about it.

    Disgusting habit by the way.

Have an ashtray that fits in the cup holder. Only problem is it takes up beer space.

If you smoke you stay too broke to buy a new car without an ashtray.
        Problem solved.

You recall those massive fires earlier this year in the panhandle that burned over 2M acres? It was started by a tossed cigarette.

Buy a coke can and throw it in there. Or better yet - quit!

Why? Its only a little butt. Its not gonna be that noticeable. Somebody else can clean up my lazy mess. Besides....if I keep it in a can or tray in my vehicle, it will make this sweet smelling ride nasty./sarcasm font

I toss them out. Once it leaves my hand it's someone else's problem

Everyone I see toss'em, just like the dippers when their water bottles get half full with spit and stank.

when I was a kid my mom and dad had a grocery store and cars had ashtrays. The parking lot was a apparently a great place to empty them

I saw a guy throw his out the winder once as I was passing him in the left lane.. thought to myself... what a GREAT idea... no longer do I need to keep disgusting waste products from my habits inside my vehicle... so I emptied my spit cup out the window after I got in the right lane ahead of him.
He mustve approved because he kept telling me I was number one.
I told him "No sir. YOU are number one for coming up with this great idea."

They don't care about their lungs, why would they care about the roadside?

When I smoked I always kept a bottle with some water in it and that is where I placed my butts! When it got full, I got another bottle and threw that one in the trash!

A bottle or can seems like a simple solution as long as it doesn't end up on the side of the road too. My wife still smokes even though I've begged her to quit. I get on her when she throws out the butts. I'm going to get her to use a bottle with some water in it for her butts. It sure seems to me anyway that most smokers don't seem to care. I base that on how often I've witnessed folks just throwing them out, and how many are littering our roadsides. I've even seen it done in front of police officers and nothing happened. That makes me think smokers have been emboldened since there seems to be no consequences for throwing them out.
