I would train with your hunting pack. If it's a good pack you shouldn't tear it up. And it will allow you to dial in your setup and fit before you go hunt with it. I have a bunch of 10lb sand bags that I load my exo up with so I add weight as I need/want to.

I had one in the Corps and it was not comfortable at all when compared to a nice pack.

I have a molle II pack frame that I attach my double bull ground blind to when I need to haul it around. It works really well, but I did hear they can break easily.

Carrying a lot of weight does little to prepare you for carrying a heavy pack in the mountains anyway. If you are training for a hunting trip then you need to work on leg's and lungs. The muscles of your back are stabilization muscles and putting a ton of weight in a pack won't help you. All it will likely do is get you hurt training. Carrying 25lbs or less in the pack you are going to carry in the mountains is a good thing, but mostly to figure out adjustments and set up for your pack.

You aren't going to build your back or shoulders up carrying around 50lbs in an Allice pack and there are a lot better ways to build your legs and lungs than that.
I appreciate the input but im not worried about my back giving, shoulders being able to handle a load or my legs being able to handle the duration of the hunt as most of my training is consists of heavy powerlifting. More so my cardio is not the same as when I was heavier, ive lost 70lbs in the past 9 months and my cardio doesnt tax my body the same even with HIIT, im wanting to incorporate more weighted rucking into my training schedule along with a weighted vest to wear myself out like I used to.

Ill probably do what Justin does and make packs of 10lb sand bags to load into my hunting pack. Now I just gotta go do one last test drive between the Kifaru or Exo.

If your cardio isn't taxing you enough then change your cardio. I'm telling you a heavy pack doesn't change much and will only lead to stress injuries.

A 25lb weight vest and a stair machine will do more for you prepping for the mountains than anything. Use heart rate to judge intensity and build in intervals and distance.
