    Colorado preference point refund

Applied for a archery deer preference point this year. Habitat stamp with a license $10. Non-Resident deer application $389 for a total of $399.

Refund check came in today for $346. One place in the regs I found a $3.00 processing fee and another $15 processing fee. Even with those combined the math doesn't work.

    What am I missing?

Guess I figured it out. Dont remember a $40 flat fee for the point but that's what it is. 40 for the point, 10 for the stamp and 3 for the processing fee. $53

                Does your point ever expire?
I put in for a mule deer tag 10 yrs ago,and didn't get drawn. Is that point still good if I decide to put in again?

Did you buy a Colorado license last year OR this year?

Both, always put in for elk, pronghorn and deer. Always buy an elk tag either cow or bull either way depending on the draw. Is it if you buy any type of license they waive all the point fees?

Yes.....you lose PP's after 10 years(I think) of not applying. Someone else might verify.

This was discussed before. I think if you haven't applied OR you haven't had a license in 10 years, you lose the points. If you have had a license, then the 10 year clock starts over is my interpretation of the rules.

Correct. If you buy a any tag, you aren't charge reference points fees.

You can also buy an annual fishing or small game hunting license to avoid the fee. I spend $56 to avoid preference point fees for deer, elk, and pronghorn.
