Yep, that's pretty dang Texan right there!! If you'd substitute fresh blackberries for those peaches, I'd be all in!! Peaches are no bueno for me...

I never liked em myself raw but something about them cooked especially in a dutch oven cobbler does something for me.

Absolutely nothing beats a good cast iron dessert

Truly a Texas product here. Pioneer brand baking mix out of San Antonio, Falfurius butter, Fairfield peaches and Bluebell ice cream.

Any way we could twist your arm for the recipe?

Bag of peaches sliced sautéed in 1 TBS butter with 1/4 cup sugar, 1 TBS cinnamon and 1 1/2 TBS of baking mix on medium for 15 min or until peaches are 3/4 cooked through.

1 cup baking mix whisked with 1 cup milk. Mix in 1 stick of melted butter and re whisk.

Pour batter into greased iron and pour fruit on top of batter.

Dutch oven for 30 min.


Credit to Coach's Wife for the recipe. I just modified her Blackberry cobbler recipe in the Recipe forum and made it Peach.

I KNEW IT!! I knew it was 'spos'd to be a blackberry cobbler! After eating some Dutch oven cobbler at Bownanza a couple years ago, I bought me one... made my first one for Easter... truly heaven on earth covered in homemade vanilla ice cream!!

You're livin' large in any case!
