    Tundra AC problem

I have a 2015 Tundra and yesterday my AC started blowing only out of the defrost no matter what setting its on. I called the dealership to talk to the service advisor and he thinks it the blend plate that's causing this. Anyone else have this problem? I wouldn't think it shouldn't go bad this soon being the truck is only 2 years old. And of course, the 36K mile warranty has been up a long time ago
Also when I start my truck, it takes close to a minute for the AC to even come on. Nothing before that. That almost makes me think it may be something electrical. Any Toyota mechanics on here with advice?

Buddy has the same problem in a 2011. He has a company truck, so he hasn't took it in to get looked at yet.

I texted my brother because he's a mechanic and used to work for Toyota. He told me it sounds like blend doors or actuators. No clue what that means though.

        Thanks
Yeah blend door is what the guy told me. I don't know why I typed plate. Lol
I'm gonna do some more Googling to find out more. So far what I learned is that the part is under $200 but the total service is around $2000 because of the "man hours" [emoji15] That's according to a guy on a Toyota forum.

It's a small electric motor that is mounted on the upper driver's side of the A/C case.
Directs where air flows through the vents in dash.

Must be kinda hard to get to, my labor guide shows to charge 3.0 hours to replace it.
          Motor lists for $132.48

Blend door motor controls temp not airflow

Your truck has two blend doors. One controls temperature and the other controls which vents the air comes out of.

Ok. Temp and fan speed work fine. Just can't get it to blow out of the front dash vents.
And why does it take so long for the AC to kick on when I first start the truck?
I timed it and it took this long just to turn on. Lol
