You need to come visit the snake catchers out here in west Texas some warm spring day, I'd bet you could find an honest to goodness offensive/aggressive rattlesnake. Get into the hills in SW Texas you'll find at least 3 varieties, have found docile and elevated pms in all species.

I've heard that rattlers are adapting to not rattle due to the pig infestation. They rattle the pigs eat them. Not sure if it s true. Anyone else heard this. They are pretty snakes though.

you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. The mean snakes have super secret snake gangs which have super secret snake gang meetings where they sit around and plan attacking humans for no reason.

What are the rattlers in VA and PA? Eastern Diamond Backs? I sure stepped around a bunch on my AT hike last summer.
