    Open Office Guru's

    I'm stymied and stumped.

Here's the issue. No the first time I've encountered it. just decided to try and remedy it.

I'm trying to update a Bible Program on my Laptop, theword.net
    I open the program
    select Help
Check for updates on Language files
than a Blank OO Writer page titled AUTOPOST.html

    I have Windows 8.1
No clue ho to screen shot it.
I was using Norton but when it expired I tried to renew it and Open Office would open writer with a bunch of code on it and I couldn't click on any of the hyperlinks(?) so I ended up uninstalling Norton and am using something else.

I've been on Google for a couple hours now. I've tried various searches but they all seem to point me towards how to add, remove, edit hyperlinks in documents.

My guts telling me its a default setting that's wrong. but I've run ay low on care and patience.

Sounds like OO Writer has been accidentally set as your default program for html files. You need to set your default for html back to one of your browsers, doesn't really matter which one, IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc... Just go to Control Panel, and then Default Programs and you can change the setting for html files there. If you need any help let me know.
