First thing that comes to mind is trapping them. But what have you found to work the best? lowering the ammount of damage in the area, trying to help an elderly neighbor out that is having a serious issue in and around the property with tons of rooting. Any suggestion would be appreciated thanks

If you figure it out completely, you might become a billionaire.
One way to give yourself an edge on property you own or frequent is to leave a worn article of your clothing around the prime feeding areas on a constant basis so they become accustomed to your scent. Change it out often as you can even walk through the area. It really works great for whitetail.

Opening the land up to hunters. Setup a few feeders (with simple blinds overlooking) in likely areas to help concentrate them. Advertise free hog hunts here on TBH. I would think a lot of people would jump at the chance to take their kids hog hunting. Or heck, you may even get people to pay to kill those suckers.
Another possible option would be offer up permission to one of those heli hunting outfits. I'm not sure if they would try to charge you but there may be an arrangement to be made if they can bring their clients. Heli hunting is pure and simple hog eradication and has the potential to make the biggest short term impact on a local hog population.

Will be giving this a try. Thanks
After trapping for a while do you believe they will avoid the area if a box trap is on site?
Got a few and will be setting them here soon.

Currently no feeders on property or hunting and the owner is 90 years old sure he's set in his ways but I don't think it would hurt to run that option past him thanks for the ideas

Hogs are purdy smart. Once any animal develops an association to danger, it probably won't be broken easily. It's very hard to catch a feral cat in a live trap twice.
I walk deep into Crockett Forrest three times a week and leave some clothing items around chunks of record rack. It has netted me some nice bucks for a long time. I only shoot hogs with a bow so they don't associate me with noise or danger.

Too small tract for heli hunting.
Box traps will catch some, but never keep them from the property
Feeders will only attract more of them. Normal Hunting will keep the survivors wary and nonturnal.
Thermal gear with suppressors is the most effective means of number reduction I've seen. Not in my budget, but some friends with cool toys might help.
Good luck.
