Moving to Spring Branch from West Texas!

After looking for houses for the past month we are buying a home in Spring Branch in the Whispering Hills subdivision. We excited about moving from Midland. The wife and kids are really happy about being in Smithson Valley school district.

I am wondering if any TBHers live in the Spring Branch or surrounding area?
Do you have any insight into the area?
Does anyone know of any 500+ yd ranges?

    Thanks for any info.

I grew up in Bulverde and went to Bulverde schools my whole child hood. I graduated from Smithson Valley. I love the town. But its bigger now then it was when I went to school there. I still spend a lot of time there as I have many friends that still live there. I live just south of Bulverde now just below the Bexar/Comal county line. I used to run Whispering hills after school during the off season. Its a nice hood. Good luck with the move.

Spring Branch is great area and I know there are several TBHr's in the area. Lots of stuff for the family to do that is close by. There is a gun club/shooting range off 46, just can't remember the name of it right now. My dad used to shoot there all the time. Welcome to the hill country. One of God's greatest creations. And watch out for deer while driving, they are everywhere.

I am in Timberwood and we do all of our shopping in Bulverde. My kids go to the Comal ISD schools. This area is great.

Welcome to the Hill Country! I'm in Spring Branch, out north of 46 about 12 miles almost to the Blanco county line. Love it out here. I shoot at Cedar Ridge, its off 1863 but they only have a 100 yard range.

Just curious. Are you retiring or did work take you there. If so, what kind of work are you in?

Work is relocating us there. I work for a Drilling Company as an HSE Manager. We have an office in Seguin I will be working out of.

Welcome to Comal County. Dietz Rifle range on 46 west of New Braunfels has 200 yd but I do not know anywhere that has 500 yd.

I would suggest skipping the sub division. Look for less house on 5-10 acres.

                      Thank me later.

We are about to start building up the road from you in Blanco. Welcome to the area!

My grandpa was a foreman on a ranch there after he retired. He worked for a Mr Stannish? We were very young when me and Legdog visited him there. I would love to go back

So--you gonna be working out of the yard on Hwy 123 in Seguin? That's about 2 miles from my house.

Traffic from Spring Branch area to Seguin can be horrendous in the summertime--Hwy 46 is clogged with tubers, etc.
