    Fishing in Camp Wood

Got a Cabin near Rocksprings but see that Neuces River in Camp Wood .. Anyone ever fish the area above or below the dam .. Any access points ... Public or Private for a fee ...

The wife & I fished a little below the Dam at the public area (Local Swimming Place & Hotter-N-Hell Ram Hunt Hang out)and caught some nice Bass ... So was wondering and would appreciate any information

Man if you get up between Vance and Jo Jan Van there's some places where Bullhead Creek crosses the highway and that thing is full of good fish (bass, catfish, bluegill, Rio Grande Cichlids, and who knows what all else). Plus it's the prettiest water I've ever seen, clear as glass and cold too.

Be sure to hit Chalk Bluff for some swimming on the Nueces while you're up there.

When I was a kid growing up in the 60s we spent many summer weeks camping on Bullhead Creek, and I know the fishing was outstanding back then. Those were the best days of my life, I would have to say.

BC runs through a lease on I was on many years. It's too bad we're generally too young to appreciate those things till we're too old and they're gone.

Though I despised the drive, and some of our lease mates, I miss that ranch like crazy.

Stayed at the campground once. Good fishing. Caught everything on a hotdog pieces.

Spent every summer growing up at my grandpa's old ranch that was on the Nueces. Lots of fun catching the various species of perch and bass on light tackle. I still have every color beetle spin.
