Pretty serious drop by the local (to me) Pecan Lodge. I think this is fair now that they have super sized their restaurant and gentrified their prices.

I need to try Cattleack (sp?) ASAP.

The Daniel Vaughn guy who is the BBQ editor works pretty hard at this stuff. Maybe he will clarify the reasoning that produced the list after enough people get excited over it.

My thoughts as well. I live in Tomball and have never heard of this place. Probably because its in the middle of town with all of the "boutique" shops. I'll stick with The Rib Tickler.

Do yourself a favor and go try them. They started out making chocolate which they still do starting with raw pods. Then they started making bbq and they do it right. It's a little pricey but they use prime everything and it is delicious.
