    Editing a pdf!

I refuse to be held hostage by Microsoft (Word, Excel) or Adobe (pdf) by paying a rental fee from here on out. A group I'm in is using pdf files to share music lyrics and chords, but the originals are sometimes "wrong" or just need to be changed to fit a person's octave with a different set of chords. I would like to go to a free pdf editor and make edits to these without having to use text boxes or some other nonsense.

Anybody got a favorite they use without issue?

I personally use adobe, right click, edit text, done.. but you miiiigggghhhttt could try a chrome app that would allow you to upload, edit, resave. I've done this with a few random file types that I otherwise couldn't get open.

          Smallpdf.com
          &
          Pdfescape.com

I've used both with success, although you get what you pay for and while these services are free, they're not as good as a true editor.

I've used pdfescape before. Just google 'free PDF editor' and your options will be endless..

Thanks guys. I looked at the pdf xchangeeditor and it appears to only be temporary.

I've done the Google search and it appeared to be the same story with the other options, trial or limited to 3/month. Ugh! I was concerned with downloading something I was unfamiliar with, then get bombarded with more spam.
