    Deerview Windows

I have a lot of box blinds to build and I'm going to use Deerview windows. I was looking at the options and they have a "Hinge Window" that mounts to an interior frame and a "Deluxe Hinge Window" that comes framed and mounts externally.

The Hinge Window is about half the price but it looks like it would be easier for water to make its way into the blind because the window is recessed.

What are y'all using? I'd go with the exterior mounted Deluxe but I need a LOT of windows and the price has me exploring other options.

Is there a TBH discount code for Deerview?

    Hinge

    Deluxe

The Deluxe Hinge is a fully framed exterior mounted hinge style operating window. Exterior mounted to close off your complete opening; and direct from the elements and unwanted pests.

We used Deluxe! Great window and would go same route if I build another.

The deluxe would be the easiest. I used the economy hinge window to build my BnL's blind. They have a seal around the window-glass frame to prevent rain and water from getting in. I'd sugest the surface to be really flat. I built my window frames that the window units mounted to out of right angle iron so I new I'd have a truly flat surface for them. There has been no water inside that blind to this day. 5 hinge windows and one single pane slider for the door.

Close-up of the outside of the window frame.

      Box blind frame

      Windows in place

Pre drilling the frames before finishing the inside.

Single pane Inside slider for the door.

Finished interior with windows in place.

I use the hinge windows and have never had an issue with water leaking unless I forget to close them. They seal tight. I also recommend at least ordering their door frame kit to build your door out of. Deerview doors and windows are awesome.

At what height do you put the windows for bow hunting 1' off the ground? I bought 3 deluxe 14"x12" deerview windows.

I used the regular hinge on a recent one. They do seal tight.

Depends on many things and only you can decide. There is not set perfect height for anyone since we are all different heights as are chairs.

I get in my chair I will be using and hold my bow out like I am shooting to get a gauge as you where the window needs to be. Remember you arrow leaves your rest lower than your sight so make sure you make room for that at the bottom of the window when aiming. You don't want to put the arrow through the bottom of your window. This is pretty much all you need to do if your feeder and blind are on the ground at approx the same level. 1' is not going to make much difference.

I just bought the same myself for my new local pig place.

I have a 12" wide x 18" tall center shooting window and two 12x12 view side windows.

They have a 10-15 day lead time and I'm on day 9 so far and waiting to install.

I called for my 10% TBH discount but I also had a custom size made so it was just easier.

I am not sure if they have a code really.

PM thehunted . He is the Deerview Windows contact. He got back to me quickly and they were very helpful on the phone.
