Computer help please.

I'm running Firefox on my home PC. All of the sudden some of the words in threads are blue and are linked to ad's and stuff. There are ad's that pop up also. I have the pop up blocker turned on, but they just keep coming. I've dealt with this before, but have forgot what I did to stop it. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Try this first. If it doesn't work, then export your favorites and do a complete uninstall of firefox. Re-install and do an import of favorites.

Well the malware thingy didn't work. How do I check for add on's ?

It was an add on. I found it and removed it. Thanks for the help.

What are the steps to find add ons

I have one that pops up every. Is and then and it says that I need to contact Microsoft immediately, don't close Dow or shut off

At the top of my browser I clicked on TOOLS. There is a drop down that has ADD ONs. Click on it.
