Just a thought but have any of you guys in areas with lots of hogs tried to put up a separate feeder in the opposite direction of say your feeder in a pen or gravity protein feeder to give the hogs their own setup? Could just be a dumb thought but possibly keep the hogs deterred from your other setups?
I think it would be a great idea. Set it up to throw twice both after dark at night. More pigs would show up there just because the corn would still be there when they show up after dark.
On my place in East tx deer will rarely hit the feeders during season in shooting light. You get away 50-100 yards away close to cover on handcorn they hit pretty regularly. So i keep feeders on in the offseason till july for pigs and then shut off feeders for a month (pigs move away) and start handcorning for deer Aug-Dec.
