Anyone else make a boo-boo installing Moog ball joints incorrectly?

I must not have put the marks inward. Drove over 1,000 miles through other states and now have horrible front end clatter. And darnit I left the ball joint tool kit back at what used to be home!!!! Now I gotta order another tool kit and more ball joints. Hope I don't need new steering knuckles too.

I rented a well used press from autozone a few months back, it brought the ball joint out crooked and wallered out the hole on the A-Arm and didn't realize it until about a week later when I was lookin for what was loose under there. I just pressed it back in and welded it to the A-Arm.

    No more clankin front end!

        yep rented the tool before.

I would replace with a set that has the zerk fitting built in so u can always add a shot of grease.

Just a FYI ,most vehicles now you an buy a complete Arm with ball joints and bushings already installed. They 're more money but will save you a bunch of work/time.

If ball joints loose in arm they make a splined one that is just slightly larger so as to fit tighter.
