Should be fine on ice. Pack it tight and don't open it up a bunch.

Frozen meat in an ice chest for 4 hours. You dont need anything else. It will still be frozen when you get home.

I do it in just an ice chest from Boerne to Midland all the time with no issues

It certainly will. Look at the 420!

To the OP, you are fine with just the cooler. Perhaps have a bag of ice in there to cool it down before you put the meat in the cooler.

Heck if it's covered you don't even hardly need a cooler lol. I take frozen meat to work and back home every 2 weeks on 8-12 hour drives in my yeti and it's frozen solid still When I get back

$1500 for a cooler? I know why they call it the "420"!

Have hauled back a few different large domestic pigs our landowner has had processed for us. It's normally about 4 hours and as long as it is frozen just throw it in a cooler and your e good to go. Just pack as much as you can in each cooler so there isn't a bunch of empty space if you can

It'll all be fine packed in an ice chest if it's frozen solid
