Hunting in Georgia?

Has anyone hunted in Georgia?

I'll move moving to Georgia this weekend, and I'd like to the difference hunting in Georgia compared to Texas.

Hunted there last November. I would compare it to East Tx hunting from my experience. There are a couple members here I know of that live and hunt in GA. Search Georgia and you will see the threads.

What part of Georgia? I hunted near Dublin several years ago lots of deer and turkey there.

There was a good thread last year with someone hunting on family land over Thanksgiving. Two different areas of the State if I remember correctly.

When I was stationed there a lot if the locals run dogs and funneling.

Don't know about that side of Georgia but the western side has tons of deer and turkey. Long seasons and liberal limits. Someone earlier said it was similar to East Texas hunting and it is except the deer are not near as nocturnal there as they are here in east Texas. Leases are way cheaper too. Give it a while and I think you'll prefer hunting there to Texas.

Never hunted GA but found No poundage limit on bows when bow hunting. Im gonna buy my buddy in GA a Sarrels trad bow for his wedding gift.

I hunted at Ft Benning plenty of deer and hogs.
