    Best herbicide for poison oak?

What is the best herbicide for poison oak but that hopefully won't kill all the brush around it?

Yes, Round Up at TSC has like 18% but the other brand has like 60% and it is cheaper

You need brush killer. I get a small spray bottle and put it on undiluted. If you have to get a small paint brush and paint it on so as not to kill other plants around it. It works well

Strange that a well known KatusKiller would need help killing poison oak.

If you do kill the poison oak will you become poisonoakkiller?

Jack, will you give me a call when you get a minute?

LOL......It ain't rocket science. We flew it out of helicopters for 12 years of my career. I use it in my flower beds and yard as weeds pop up. It comes in multiple strengths and can be easily applied to reduce over-spray with just a little bit of caution. The OP is looking to do a precision spray on poison oak, not a broadcast application.........cant get easier than that.

There is some areas so thick I would just have to kill everything. Some areas are in the open and some are under bigger tree canopies. I have used some "brush killer" before but usually have to spray it a couple times. This place has so much and such a big area I don't want to have to do it twice.

Probably not many options if u r really concerned with additional species being banged up. Nothing will sterilize the soil......that u would want to deal with...lol. Imazaphyr is incredible but definitely will take out plants u may want.....unless they are waxy leaf species.

Triclopyr works. You're gonna have to be careful with mixing it too hot, or it'll kill your trees, though. The stuff at Home Depot/Lowes labeled as poison ivy killer is usually weak enough that it won't kill your trees (at least the larger ones).

This is what I use and is what is in most brush killers. I simply use a very small spray bottle (stole from the wife) about 3 inches tall and fill it undiluted. You can spray individual leaves and never get it on anything else. Yes it takes time but if you have many other plants you don't want to kill then you have to do it like this. That or take roundup 41% and spray all over if you don't care about killing other plants. Use disposable gloves when spraying it on so you don't get poison oak on your hands.

                          Good Luck.
