    The Jimmy V Classic

Man, my first memory of that guy was when they upset the Phi Slamma Jamma.....I cried like a baby...I was about 13. After watching both games tonight...the second of which the Horns are leading at the half....I have detremined that other things are more important in life. As Dickie V speaks about a mom who lost her child to cancer and stated that at least you have another chance....unlike those taken way before they should be......I also saw the epic speach by Valvano himself...

    Good Luck OU

    Good Luck Tech

Good luck to ALL teams in their bowls.....

The Texas longhorns will get another chance, unlike some.

No doubt that the Jimmy V speech at the ESPY's is pure greatness. They have raised 80 million dollars for cancer research since 1993. If you have never heard the speech I recommend you YouTube it. I have had a link to the Jimmy V Foundation in my sig line the last week.

            X 100 .... and well said Billy

Years ago , I use to eat , drink, and sleep sports.

After going through treatment for drugs and alcohol (12-27-87 sobriety date), I came to realize that there were far more important things in life than college and professional sports.

I got a second chance in life and shifted my priorities to: GOD, family, then me.

If my favorite sports team loses, then no big deal ... life goes on.

Afterall, sports is just a game that some people take way to serious.

Once a year, usually around Christmas, I visit the local Children's Hospital to help me realize how blessed I am. I hope and pray that they find a cure for cancer in my lifetime since it does not discriminate on age, race, or gender.

Prayers up for all those who have been affected in one way or another by the "C" word.

            ..... carry on ........
