    Must See Spots In Maui?

    Hey all,

Headed to Maui next week and wondered if there were recommendations on some things we should try to do while we're there. Already booked a catamaran snorkel trip and a helicopter tour. We were planning on trying to do the road to Hana one day but word is that the road construction is pretty bad right now....making for a full day drive without much time to stop and see the sites.

Also, any hole in the wall places to stop and grab a beer or fish taco are always welcome!

    Thanks

    Jake

Wouldn't happen to be in residential construction would you?

I would recommend going up the volcano. It was beautiful there. There is a little cove called McKenna cove that was beautiful. i was actually married at the cove. It's amid some residential housing but the cove overlooks a couple islands and has an exceptional sunset.

The drive up to Haliakala(the volcano) is worth it. Eat at Mama's Fish House. Take a snorkel trip out to Molakini(crater that is spectacular). Lahina is a cool town to visit. If you do the road to Hana, stop at the red sand and black sand beaches...well worth the hike! If you like golf, do yourself a favor and play on of the Wailea courses...I recommend Emerald. Oh and do the Maui Brewing Co tour!

Makena Big Beach, little beach only if you're into that kind of thing!

Road to Hana was pretty incredible. I had never seen those rainbow eucalyptus trees before. They didn't even look real.

Cheeseburger in paradise for lunch; Mama's Fish House for dinner (may need reservations).

                              eat here: https://paiafishmarket.com/

i've flown to Maui just to eat their "fish & chips" lunch plate
last time i've been they only had the one location in Paia
i guess they've since added two more locations

                              also get some "Loco Moco"

and the Roy's there is the best I've had anywhere (been to about 6 diff locations)
the braised short rib and the chocolate volcano cake....

Waianapanapa has a cool "black" sand beach (it's on the Road to Hana)

Hana was cool but far. Need to spend at least a night or two there if you go IMHO

Play some golf up at the Ritz in Lahaina
