    Towne Lake Cypress

Anyone on the GS live in Towne Lake? We are planning to buy a house there this summer and was curious as to your thoughts about the neighborhood. Do you fish there? If so what are you catching?

No kidding. I'm watching Fishing and Hunting Texas and he's fishing Town Lake.

LOL, I"m in debate on loading up the yak and going out there. Its the 3rd time I've cought this show at the beginning.

Think the next time my Dad is in town, we'll go in the big boat. Will just bring an extra battery since you can't run a gas engine in the lake.

Can't help with info on the neighborhood. I don't live in the city of Austin, just the out skirts.

I think you are talking about a different place. This is in Cypress Tx.

I live just up Fry Rd, in Blackhorse Ranch.
Nice area to live, but I wouldn't say the fishing is good. Both Town Lake (Cypress) and Bridgeland lakes are "fake lakes" - no structure, no grass, very few baitfish, so very few bass to catch. There are a few tho, and a bad evening fishing beats sitting at home watching TV.

I have a friend that was asked to leave towne lake in cypress last weekend because he was not a resident and didn't have a resident with him.

They are strict on would they let on the lake.

No doubt that some of the golf course lakes are decent fishing. Lots of vegetation, baitfish, and bass.

Yep. You have to have a sticker on your boat. They are getting bad about checking everyone now that the weather is getting warmer.

He said even if you have a sticker they are checking DL's for Proof of residence or you have to go.
