How long would it take for animals body to begin stiffening up?
Our German shepherd dug a hole under the air conditioner condenser outside and her tunnel collapsed on her killing her. Her body was limp when I got the AC off her and was wondering how long she was trapped under there. Her head was extremely swollen.

yeah I was kind of confused because her body was super bloated and head look like it was gonna pop. But the body was limp as a noodle.

What sucks is she has 3 week old puppies we are having to bottle feed.

So if anyone wants some free puppies in a couple weeks they're Shepard/blue healer mix.

Yes, as the body breaks down it will go back limp. When I was young I trapped. I would shake the rigor out of an animal before I skinned it.

I killed 4 pigs the other day. By the time I got done tracking and recovering them all it was prolly 3 hours. They were pretty dang stiff!
