Heard on the news that Houston

has the most diverse population than any other city in the US.

    What do you think?

Edit: On second thought I'll just say yes there are a variety of liberals in Houston. I'm 30 miles away and I'm way too close! I prefer not to head south on 59 if I don't have too. Even Humble is too populated for me.

"diverse", is a very broad term....

It has been the most internationally diverse city in the country for years. I don't know where this is coming from as I saw it today as well but have been hearing this for at least a decade. If you have ever lived in Houston you will know it to be true.

There certainly aren't a lot of American left in the city

This. While Katrina certainly played a hand in importing some "diversity", it's been this way for a long time.

I hate this city, but it's better than living on welfare out in BFE because there's no jobs around.

I love it. We ignorant gun and Bible clinging Texans get to tell NYC and LA a thing or two about diversity. Plus we have all kinds of crazy good food here. Not only that but the city hasn't lost its love for guns. Lot of businesses may have the 30.06 and 30.07 signs, but for the most part it is understood that everyone is carrying.

Houston has a little bit of everything. Pretty much all cultures are represented in Houston. It doesn't surprise me at all to hear this.

I absolutely REFUSE to live in the city. Which is why we live 60 miles north of town but commute to the Woodlands for work every... single....day
I wouldn't have it any other way

Houston has some of the stupidest drivers in the state.....and that's saying something!

Yea! Houston. If diversity means I can see my neighbor I want none of it.

My wife is Nigerian. He family calls Houston "Little Port Harcourt".

I keep saying I want to move away, but I think it would be too difficult to live so far from so much good food. Houston puts every other city I have lived to shame as far as variety of high quality restaurants.
