        Easy. Imagine being on a conveyor belt. The world around you moves but exert no energy to move. With a warp drive the ship is stationary and space moves around it. If you have a tarp stretched tight and you place a marble on it, it stays still. Now, gently press on the tarp and the marble moves to you without effort from the marble. Same idea. So, you can move matter through space without ever actually moving matter.
