    Varmint cage help!

I usually build my varmint cages out of 1x1 mesh but have been to Home depot, Lowes, Gebos, and Tractor supply and can't find any. What is everyone using? Other options?
    Thanks

Tractor supply sells some 1"x2" mesh that I've used before.

I always build mine the same size as the 55 gal barrel. (Learned from experience) I have ONE feeder that does not have a varmint cage and hasn't in 15 stinkin" years. Go out there yesterday and it is torn all the hell! Lol.

          I do the same.
Gotta keep it out of reach [emoji1303]
The smaller the holes, then the corn doesn't disperse as far.
I now use 2"x2" and no problems with coons

I think I got my last roll of 1x1 at TSC---but don't quote me on that. If TSC, HD, and Lowe's don't have it, might try an Ace Hardware store if there is one near you.

That cage from Academy isn't big enough--they stick their little coon arms in and spin the plate and then drop to the ground and eat the corn they dumped.

                Totally agree!
You have to go the whole diameter of the barrel no doubt.
Coonman aka Smart defiantly has experience with coons. Lol

Cover entire bottom of barrel. Learned the hard way myself. If they can reach it they'll tear it up.

I had several of the premade Academy ones torn off before i did the Smart 1x1 barrel diameter design. Not one issue since.
