I'm working on that part. Lol. Wife said she can't, but I might be able to swing 3, might not be able to swing anything... Just trying to see what I can do... I am very interested though.

So you take a big boat out to the islands then a small boat drops everyone off to wade fish? Are y'all using all artificial?

The VI is something like 127 foot and carries several 16 foot skiffs. Big boat parks and you travel out on the skiff yourself. All lures. I guess you could carry a cast net along if you wanted and catch bait.

We did the cast net thing several years ago when the Islander was still at Breton Island... We stayed there and Johnny caught us a bunch of shrimp and crokers, plus we caught a lot of bait with the cast nets at night... Probably the best trip we ever had... north wind, flat surf for three days... It was 50 trout limits back then, and we brought everything we had back full of trout... reds too! I like fishin' with hardware, but I ain't against live bait either. Somebody in our group always brings a cast net JIC...

I brought one when I went. I ended up spending most of my time with the skiff beached and fishing bait in the cuts. The flats were really pretty slow but I spanked em in those surf cuts. Got broke off multiple times though. Mostly sharks but also a big silver unknown in the actually surf. Probably a tarpon. Next time i will bring a big rig! It's a cool place and a really good time!!! Good luck!

Looks like we got a full boat.

From the sounds of it should be a great crew and a great time!!
