    Android texting issue

Using a samsung galaxy with textra app. It works great but when i go to centerville i have no att cell service. So when im headed home my phone lights up like a christmas tree and i get a bunch of emails, alerts, voicemails, etc.

But no texts. Sometimes they come through 2 or 3 hours later but lately it can be as much as 8 to 10 hours.

Switched my default app back to the regular android texting app and having the same problem.

Anyone else experienced this or know a fix?

True detective would be able to figure this out on his own.

Yeah, but in Chews defense, a "Tablet" in his day was a flat, soft rock with a hard rock stencil

              Have you tried restarting it?
6 years ago I spent almost week bouncing around southern Florida. No one called or texted, I was getting peeved! Wife was downright mad at me for not returning her texts or answering her calls. She just knew I was "stepping out" on her.
I parked my 18 wheeler, she picked me up, walked in the door phone beeps with a text message, than another and another. I received 157 texts before it stopped. I handed her my phone and asked her to read them, surely if I was "stepping out" her my lady friend would surely have sent me something. She handed my phone back and said my boss was calling. I answered it and got another 15 or so. He wanted to know why my phone kept cutting out. I told him cause he was texting me. He was confused. I shared the story with him. He understood now why I hadn't replied to his texts. That's why he was calling me. Some were 4 days old..

I had a Samsung Galaxy S1 on AT&T, Only time I recall not getting my messages and such.....

Try hard booting it. On some phones that amounts to pulling the battery and waiting a couple of minutes. on others the are a couple of buttons to hold down at the same time.

Sometimes I have email that floats for a while. But my text are usually pretty quick. I do currently have a problem with my text being out of chronological order.

Could be that your text are floating around since they did not find a home right away. They thought they had been kicked out and were homeless. So they drifted off. Just took them a while to find their way back?

Your issue is most likely the network. Since you are on ATT and there is not ATT coverage there, you are using a partner network for ATT. Depending on the network, or what is sounds like in your case, the lack of a decent network, It can take a long time for messages to get over to the ATT network and to your phone.

Makes sense. But i hit full att service about 8 miles from my property when i get close to 45. Maybe ill try turning off cellular data and turn it back on when i get out of the woods
