You have to be an agent to understand....TREC license expires 5/31 so finally decided to work my two days off and get the 18 hours CE.
Surprise, surprise......I can't "blow thru" the courses and just take the test anymore. Now TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission for those who are not Agents) now puts a mandatory "time to spend" on each course BEFORE they will let you take the course test.
So, read thru all the material in less than an hour then had to wait for 2half hours to be allowed to take the final test?? Really, Really?! I was so impatient I just answered them all as quick as I could and scratched by with a 90. My wife, teacher, just got home and I told her all about this new criteria...her answer: "That's why I'm retiring after 32 years of teaching in 15 school days....it's just got plain stupid!"
Rant over, CE paid for and playing the waiting game. Now all I have to do is finish and send the state MORE $$ to make a living! And others think Real Estate Agents have it made for the commissions we live by? LOL...it is what it is.
