Seen Tim Wells kill rabbits with them on Relentless Pursuit. Hard to tell on TV but it looks like some of his shots are 20 yards.

LOL...I'm asking because I am trying to figure out how it got to where I found it (right at my front door!).

It's definitely a blow dart. Prob kids in neighborhood playing around and you were the victim of a drive by! I think most dart guns are only effective out to about 20-30 yards on small game. That said, I wouldn't want to catch a dart in the eye...that's for sure.
