There is still a little of the dried skin memebrane on the top of the skull. I pulled and picked off what I could but there is some of the really fine stuff still attached. Will the peroxide burn that off? Also, do I just need just the 40 volume or also the whitening powder?

Dremel tool with a wire brush will knock it off

If a wire brush wont take it off, keep it simmering with some Borax and/or dish soap. The 40 volume will get it extremely white as long as all the grease is removed from the bone......otherwise it will stay a yellowish color

If you are cleaning it via maceration let it soak a little longer. If simmering let it simmer a little longer and that little bit of skin will come off. Either way you need to be sure and de-grease the skull before trying to whiten or it will be for nothing.

I got some needle nose locking forceps at Walmart and they really help get the membranes and sticky tissue off at the end.
