    iPhone 6 battery issue

For a while now, my iPhone 6 battery percentage has been dropping steadily throughout the day, then will suddenly drop 20% or more. It will sometimes suddenly die on me if I have anything less than ~20% left. Here's the kicker. If I plug it in, that 20% instantly comes back. Updating did not help.

Not a huge problem, but I would rather keep that last 20% without risk of my phone shutting off. Anyone else have this issue? I swear they program these phones to start having problems at the 2 year mark. I just paid it off last month.

I had the same issue after the 2 year mark. I bit the bullet and replaced the battery. I also bought a rechargeable portable charger for emergencies

haven't had mine shut off, but I will notice it is at ~15%, plug it in and instantly go to ~42%. unplug and still be 42% and behave normally.

Mine did it around a year old. Got it replaced under warranty for nothing or I could have upgraded to the 7 for a fee. Naw just give me another one like the one I've already paid for! Got it the next afternoon on my door step from Verizon. Coach

It's just old and worn out. I'd have it replaced by a professional, rather than spending $700 on a new phone.

How much am I looking at for a new battery?

May try restoring. Back up in iTunes and wipe the device clean. Restore to the saved backup. May or may not help but worth a shot.

Usually $60 at batteries plus and they put it in for you
