    Gibbons Creek

Headed out to gibbons creek in the morning with a couple buddies, and were not professional fishermen or anything just trying to catch a few. Anybody know any good spots on there this time of year for crappie or catfish? Don't need your secret honey hole or anything but anyone got any locations on there we could try to snag a few?

A few weeks ago channel cats were on wind swept shores in 2' of water. Bass were hot in the shallow flats and creeks but my buddy says that has died down now and to fish deeper. Crappie are a mystery to me and I would starve if I had to catch them. Blues were decent in 4'+ of water off of points.

Have you looked at the weather report?

I had some of my good days in the light rain/overcast dreary days as long as it's not storming bad. Might get em stirred up wanting to eat.

Yep, I remember waiting in a long line of boats waiting to dock when the lake first opened. Good times for sure.......

Gibbons ain't far from me either, and I decided to let the storm have it's way tomorrow.

Well when I caught her she was number 2 on the lake so there was exactly one on that wall that was larger...LOL. She weighted jus a little over 14 1/2 pounds. I was able to put her in the lunker program.
