Which gate opener Usautomatic, Apollo or Liftmaster

Someone please help a brother out! I am wanting a solar opener with a wireless keypad out front. I do not know much about them but I want the keypad entry for people to be able to punch in. I also want to be able to use our smart phones as remotes if that's possible. Also want to be able to be notified by our cell phones to be able to let people in. Do they come with a magnetic strip that works as a deterrent to keep people from just pushing it open by hand. I know nothing about these systems so any help is appreciated. There is no electric up front so I need solar battery powered and wireless keypad. Which unit is the best and which one is the most expensive etc... Thanks for all the help guys! I have drug my feet too long and it's time to get this done. This is a single swing gate by the way.

I have an Apollo. Wish I would have spent the money and bought it years ago. I went through two of the crappy Mighty Mules before I spent the money on a good one.

Had a buddy tell me the older apollos are darn near bulletproof, but they have recently sold out and the quality of the internals has suffered, he said his lowest maintenance units are liftmaster openers. I do not claim that to be the gospel, just what I was told...

The gates can't be pushed open as the motor won't move without unlocking the arm. Liftmaster has the operators, keypads, and phone app for everything you need, except for alerting you when someone is at the gate. You'll either need a driveway chime that will ring when someone drives over it, or a telephone entry keypad that a guest can call you on. There may be another option that I'm not aware of, but I don't think so.

LA412 operator with solar, Almost any keypad, and an 828LM to connect the operator to your home network and allow phone app access.

I have have two Liftmasters. Wireless keypad. Can't open with my phone though. No problems in 5 years. Other than battery replacement.

I have an Apollo: the motor was repaired in the first year. The control card also had to be replaced. Both did not cost me any money, but I was not impressed. No problems for the last 3 years.

I have the Liftmaster with the Internet Gateway. I can open and close it and get a notification on my phone everytime it's opened/closed. It's worked flawlessly for the year I've had it.

I only wish I could change the keypad code from my phone. I had heard and assumed when I bought it that I could do things like set a one-time gate code that expires after it's used once for access to maintenance people, etc. Or, one that expires after a certain time period. I have a neighbor down the road that can do this and put in multiple access gate codes. I believe his is an Apollo.

Liftmaster is not what is was 3 years ago, I have never used anything but liftmaster for 10+ years and never had problems, the last couple I have installed there were issues with, I am switching over to Apollo, they are a little more difficult to install and set up but I don't like problems. If you can find a older liftmaster (light gray) LA412 from ebay or old stock somewhere that is what I would go with but the new (black) style liftmaster I would stay away from

Liftmaster is my preference due to ease of installation and tech support. I sell both weekly, and have converted a lot of my customers from apollo over to the liftmaster. To the OP how big is the gate, where a lot of folks run into issues is they have and under powered operator for the gate they have. Things to consider length, weight and wind load when trying to find the right operator.

I have an apollo. My fence/gate guys said hes been doing it for 30 years and only installs Apollo. He said they all have their issues but he has the least issues with Apollo. If you want reliability, get a chain driven sliding gate. Swing gates always have issues.

Not sure! I will measure when I get home. It's a single metal gate with fence wire on it. Shouldn't be too heavy!
