Someone please help a brother out! I am wanting a solar opener with a wireless keypad out front. I do not know much about them but I want the keypad entry for people to be able to punch in. I also want to be able to use our smart phones as remotes if that's possible. Also want to be able to be notified by our cell phones to be able to let people in. Do they come with a magnetic strip that works as a deterrent to keep people from just pushing it open by hand. I know nothing about these systems so any help is appreciated. There is no electric up front so I need solar battery powered and wireless keypad. Which unit is the best and which one is the most expensive etc... Thanks for all the help guys! I have drug my feet too long and it's time to get this done. This is a single swing gate by the way.

LA412 operator with solar, Almost any keypad, and an 828LM to connect the operator to your home network and allow phone app access.

I have the Liftmaster with the Internet Gateway. I can open and close it and get a notification on my phone everytime it's opened/closed. It's worked flawlessly for the year I've had it.
I only wish I could change the keypad code from my phone. I had heard and assumed when I bought it that I could do things like set a one-time gate code that expires after it's used once for access to maintenance people, etc. Or, one that expires after a certain time period. I have a neighbor down the road that can do this and put in multiple access gate codes. I believe his is an Apollo.

Liftmaster is not what is was 3 years ago, I have never used anything but liftmaster for 10+ years and never had problems, the last couple I have installed there were issues with, I am switching over to Apollo, they are a little more difficult to install and set up but I don't like problems. If you can find a older liftmaster (light gray) LA412 from ebay or old stock somewhere that is what I would go with but the new (black) style liftmaster I would stay away from

Liftmaster is my preference due to ease of installation and tech support. I sell both weekly, and have converted a lot of my customers from apollo over to the liftmaster. To the OP how big is the gate, where a lot of folks run into issues is they have and under powered operator for the gate they have. Things to consider length, weight and wind load when trying to find the right operator.
