I've had better luck using GreenSheet than craigslist, but have recently started using a staffing agency.

I can't help you with your immediate need. But I can offer this that I've learned from experience - experience at paying various landscapers to do lawn work at our businesses, and experience with landscapers who rent storage space at our storage facility:
The landscaping companies that hire better people at higher pay get more/better work from them and keep them for the long term; those that hire for 'dirt cheap', get 'dirt cheap' and are constantly replacing people and having to oversee every little thing.
      Just my .02.

I understand fully it's very hard finding people who are not convicted felons or drug users who are reliable that will willing to work

Ask the local HS Coach to recommend some kids that have a great work ethic and arent going the college route.

there's a Mexican radio station that advertises jobs in the morning for people looking for work, employers call in and tell the dj what kinda workers they need, and they do it for free. I think it's 104.1 in S.A. good luck with your espanol.........

Funny, I've been thinking of starting a thread on 'how to hire quality people'....

I need help in an industry that can make any motivated person with attention to detail, ability to maintain relationships with customers and a good work ethic a dang good living. A lot of people in this business get flat out rich.

Hard to find good laborers though, My lawn care guy is going out of business because he can't find help.

I'm sure it varies by location. From signage near me I would guess 15-16 to start.
