    Diesel cheaper than Gas

About time. Been noticing lately diesel has been cheaper than gas at some stations. I think it's been since 2008 when low sulfur diesel came out that it has actually been cheaper. Glad to see it since a majority of goods and services use diesel to move product.

Not around here. Generally .50 cents + higher here. I paid 2.65 yesterday

      About a dime cheaper here. I remember gas @ .85 & diesel @ .50.
Then in 2009 diesel @ $4.08. That's when I sold my last diesel.

Why? Is it cheaper to make? I honestly don't know.

I believe it's just a waste product from producing gas.

So many reasons and so little time to explain.

First byproduct of oil during the refining process. So yes it should be cheaper always. Except the new low sulfur content rules because of the EPA

Yes cheaper to make. It started costing more when low sulfur came out. Its a commodity so if they can get higher margin they will.
                    I remember when I got my 99 f350 I was paying .70 a gallon in west Texas.

The way I understand it, the diesel is a by-product of producing gasoline
